With one popular winter karting program already coming to a close and another one with the checkered flag on the horizon, Arias Deukmedjian has already shifted his focus to the 2018 national karting scene. After claiming a third place finish in the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series X30 Junior championship chase, the American driver with Asian descent will join Leading Edge Motorsports for the start of the SKUSA Pro Tour.
“I would like to thank Speed Concepts Racing for their support and hard work throughout the January and February events,” explained Arias Deukmedjian. “With that being said, I am excited to join Leading Edge Motorsports to start the 2018 SKUSA Pro Tour and can’t wait to get started.”
Deukmedjian, who is only 13 years of age, will fly the Leading Edge Motorsports colors in March and work alongside industry veteran and professional, Greg Bell.
“Arias has a huge amount of talent and will be a front runner in New Orleans,” explained Bell. “I have had the opportunity to work with the Deukmedjian family in the past and they are exceptional people. They are passionate about the sport of karting and have the drive to win. This is the type of driver that I like to have in my program.”
With the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour set to kick off at March 1-4, Deukmedjian and his new team will travel to NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana. With their goals set high, Arias and his Leading Edge Motorsports squad will be aiming for the top step of the podium.
